This was my first return to photograph a wedding in Pitlochry since Mint & Steve a year previously and when I arrived - wow - what a location! The wedding was to be held (weather permitting) on the edge of Loch Dunmore, a secluded loch-side wedding setting, with crystal clear water and crisp reflections!
I'd travelled up a day in advance of Sarah & Chris' wedding to meet up and view the venues - Loch Dunmore and Port-na-Craig in Pitlochry and I was thrilled to see what fantastic opportunities they gave for wedding photography.
This was always going to be a day of surprises and unexpected highlights (and keeping fingers crossed for the weather). While the buds of the loch-side Rhododendrons remained tightly closed (with the late onset of Spring), there were still gorgeous carpets of snowdrops to be found - which we made the most of. I whisked Sarah and Chris away after their ceremony, around the Loch - very grateful to Sarah's sensible choice of shoes… and we took in the great views and the delicate light.
