With the Spring approaching it's the time of year when thoughts turn to pre-wedding engagement shoots!
Whoop - lets get creative...
Why ~ Why do an engagement shoot?
It's a chance to practice before your wedding day, you get some gorgeous photographs - ideal for your save the dates, it's a chance to get to know your photographer, and it's fun!
Where ~ Somewhere special and significant to you, and somewhere with a little scope for photography doesn't go amiss. If in doubt you can't go far wrong with the coast or the woods - which provide plenty of wide expanses as well as intimate nooks and a mix of light and shade.
How long ~ 2 to 3 hours photography time is great, with a break in the middle - a great chance for a catch up.
What to wear ~ aim for: colour, classic, character, climate appropriate and think about a change for half way through (check out Sarah and Eric's two outfits here (above and below).
And don't forget some sweet shoes...
...hey, if ever you needed an excuse to go shopping!
When ~ Spring or Autumn are perfect with great colour, Winter can have scope for drama, but the weather can be unpredictable and those short days are limited. Summer? Sorry folks, Summer's all about the weddings...
I love these chances to take time to get really creative.
And take time to go on an adventure...
And breath in the details.
And have some fun...
Come on... lets go make some memories ;)
