I was completely and utterly inspired that I didn't hear one complaint about the rain all day long. In fact I was amazed at everyone's willingness to get outside in the beautiful Lakeland surrounds of the Cragwood Hotel and have their photograph taken.
Then, of course I realised why - because of the importance of the day, and because what it meant to Eleanor and Jonathan completely eclipsed anything the elements could throw at them.
Eleanor and Jonathan weren't putting a brave face on things and toughing it out for the sake of their photographs - they were so completely spellbound by each other, on their wedding day, and nothing else mattered.
So I'll remember Eleanor and Jonathan's wedding for many great reasons - the warmth of their family and friends, their 'first look' before the ceremony, their walking down the aisle together - but one thing in particular - the fact that it rained, but the day was too special for anyone to notice!
