The Swan Hotel & Spa at Newby Bridge is a venue that I've long hoped to photograph at - it's a gorgeous venue nessled in the Lake District near Lake Windermere, with huge potential for wedding photography. And so I've been counting down the days since Claire and Steve contacted me from Australia - with details of their wedding at this fantastic location.
I love the photographs from the day - Claire and Steve's friends and family were such good fun, happy to be photographed and willing to dash outside en masse - as soon as a break in the weather allowed. We had a bit of rain (at times, a lot), but as the Lake District often does, we also had some amazing breaks in the weather - producing dramatic skies and beautiful evening light. The setting was idilic and the late evening light was the icing on the cake!
Summer in the Lake District - perfect for a wedding... Thank you everyone for being such good fun, and for having me along to share the day.
