One of the hottest days of the year and some of the most dynamic light I've ever experienced in the Crichton Church. A day of sun, and summer merriment provided the backdrop to Jayne and Ed's Crichton Church wedding.
No matter how many times I photograph in the Crichton, it still has the ability to surprise me with something new - no wedding here ever looks the same, and this was a beautiful example. The time of year, and the time of day resulted in dramatic glowing light, spilling into the Crichton - and giving real drama to the photographs.
Jayne and Ed's wedding was the biggest I've photographed this year - the Crichton was fully seated, and guests spilled into the side aisles where it was standing room only. Seeing the Easterbrook Hall fully set with tables was a stunning sight, and again the first time I've photographed a wedding big enough to fill the main Hall with tables!
Jayne and Ed's celebrations were strongly influenced by music, with musical themes, and performances throughout the day - planned and impromptu.
Even though this was a big wedding with a lot of guests, the mood was still of a highly personal, intimate wedding. I thoroughly enjoyed the day - a perfect Dumfries Summer Wedding - congratulations on a beautiful day Jayne and Ed, here is your story...
