Sarah & Thomas' Crichton Church & Easterbrook Hall Wedding

Crichton Church Dumfries Wedding

Moments. Moments are what make a wedding unique - they're serendipitous, and short-lived; the best are over in a second. Sarah and Tommy's wedding had all the perfect moments anyone could wish for, plus a lovely couple, wonderful autumn colours and perfect - perfect light...

Lisa & Thomas' Terregles Church Wedding

All we needed was a sunny day and a half decent sky for Lisa and Thomas' wedding.  I'd visited all the locations previously with Lisa and Thomas, had the pleasure of meeting their family, and even sought permission to use a nearby farmers' field as a location - so would the sky be kind to us?

...Oh - beyond what I could have hoped for!

Nina & Lee's Comlongon Castle Wedding

Nina & Lee's wedding was my first visit to Comlongon Castle, and wow what a venue for a wedding!  Scottish castles don't come better than this and I had a ball.

Emma & John's Inchcolm Island Wedding

An Island location (reached by boat), a ceremony in a 12th century abbey, the most famous bridge in the world as a backdrop, a red double decker bus, reception in an exclusive hotel and finishing off...amazing fireworks set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.  Fantastic scope for me as a wedding photographer in Edinburgh, and on the day itself - sun, glorious sun!

Congratulations Emma and John, here are a couple of highlights, click here for the full wedding gallery.

Cath & Rick's Cragwood Hotel Wedding, Windermere

On arriving at the Cragwood Country House Hotel, wedding photographer inspiration struck me everywhere I looked - for any wedding photographer Windermere offers so much scope and the backdrop of the Cragwood is a stunning setting for a wedding.

Emma and David-Mark's Old Buittle Tower, Castle Douglas Wedding

Castle Douglas Wedding Photographer - Old Buittle Tower

I love it when photography takes me to new locations - so when Emma and David-Mark contacted me from Australia, to discuss their forthcoming wedding at Old Buittle Tower near Castle Douglas I was really excited.  Emma began her preparations in Castle Douglas, before making the short trip to the historic tower - and what a great day it was!

Jacqui & Ed's Caerlaverock Castle and Mabie House Hotel Wedding

Caerlaverock Castle Dumfries

Jacqui and Ed planned an outdoor wedding ceremony at the striking Caerlaverock Castle, just south of Dumfries on the Solway coast. This was a small, intimate wedding in stunning surroundings - Caerlaverock Castle is one of the jewels in the crown of Dumfries and Galloway and as a backdrop to a wedding - it's hard to beat for wow factor!

Mint and Steve's Aberfeldy Wedding at the Brae of Cluny

An exploding wedding cake, floral pheasants, guests that had travelled the world over and fireworks at midnight!!  Here are my highlights from Mint and Steve's fabulous wedding at the Brae of Cluny, Aberfeldy....what a day!  Congratulations to you both!

Rebecca and Richard's New Zealand Wedding - yes - New Zealand!

Ok, it's been a little while since I managed to get a blog post up; the reason is I've just returned from my first overseas wedding - in New Zealand (a very special place for a first foray photographing outside the UK).  What an amazing experience the whole adventure has been.  I've come away with some wonderful memories, some very lovely new friends and some pretty special photographs.
